Our host James warmly greeted the 5 of us, and showed us to the sitting room where he had prepared a magnificent charcuterie with champagne in front of the fireplace. James has decorated the manor beautifully with antiques and every corner is an invitation to explore and every window had a view of the manicured gardens. His attention to detail did not go unnoticed, from the fresh flowers in the bedrooms and throughout the manor, Asop products in all the bathrooms, to the welcome basket with, assorted jams, artisan sourdough, baguettes, muesli, fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, smoked salmon, yoghurt, pepe saya butter, snacks etc. James thought of everything to make our stay perfect! Our weekend at Ben Huon Manor in Robertson was superb - James was a generous and gracious host, and no detail was spared to make it a perfect weekend. We were also especially privileged to have James’ services as a private chef for a Black Tie Dinner - making our time in the Manor all the more enjoyable. Between sharing the history of the Manor’s build with us, stories behind the antique pieces thoughtfully displayed throughout the Manor and warmly helping us celebrating a birthday, James made our weekend exceptional. Imposing and yet somehow intimate at the same time this beautiful home evokes a bygone age in the Cotswolds, nestled in its manicured grounds. The house is grand but also welcoming and you will soon find yourselves at ease amongst its antique and vintage charm, as if staying with old friends for a country house weekend. It is clearly a labour of love and a truly special place. It’s also very well situated - if you can tear yourself away from relaxing in front of the log fire the delights of Robertson and the Southern Highlands are close by. The host was so welcoming and made our stay extra special with his hospitality - even supplied champagne and a cheese board for our arrival! From the moment I laid eyes on the breathtaking  Benhuonmanor, I felt as though I had stepped straight into a storybook. Its intricate stonework whispered tales of history, romance, and enchantment. The grounds themselves were a dream. The manicured gardens alive with the scent of roses and lavender, quiet courtyards kissed by candlelight, and pathways that seemed to lead into another world. As the sun set, the property glowed golden, transforming into a realm of pure magic. This isn’t just a property—it’s an experience. A place where reality bends, where dreams unfurl, and where every guest feels like royalty. My dream as a young girl became my reality at BenHumanor, capturing the wedding Photo shoot of my dreams. James was the most welcoming Host. He made everything feel so seamless. He is truly incredible. Communication was excellent. Greetings to the property were so warm and inviting. I Highly recommend!
