I have found it difficult to find the words for just how inimitable the experience is at Ben Huon Manor. What differentiates a luxury escape and one that you will remember for a lifetime, is the detail - and Ben Huon is BIG on detail.
James, the extraordinary host, is the heart and soul behind the home. Going above and beyond to share his love and enthusiasm to every detail. From the museum worthy oil portraits, to the genuine antique furnishings, hand built staircases, manicured gardens and lawns, polished silverware and heated flooring throughout, the attention to the finer things is astounding. Bathrooms are even adorned with monogrammed towels, fluffy robes and a suite of Aesop skin care. Truly a property worthy of featuring in the likes of Architectural Digest or the Local Project.
This is an absolute haven for any self proclaimed foodie. The culinary expertise of James is apparent. From the charcuterie board with artisan deli meats paired with the finest cheeses to a chefs kitchen equipped with an AGA-esque range cooker, gourmet staples like Pepe Saya butter, Meredith dairy goats cheese, fresh eggs from the property and fine British crockery. This is the stuff of dreams for any home cook or chef alike.
The hospitality, warmth and grandeur of Ben Huon Manor is second to none and makes this a must stay for anyone! A very special place. I can’t wait to visit again soon.
